Jul. 08, 1941 - Dec. 23, 2014
Gaynelle Watts, a retired public school principal and ukulele player from Santa Cruz, passed away unexpectedly on Dec. 23, 2014 while visiting her daughter in Indiana. A Celebration of Her Life is planned for 3:00 on Sunday, Feb 15 at Twin Lakes Church in Santa Cruz. Gaynelle is preceded in death by husband, Bob Watts, who died on Feb. 19, 2002 after a long battle with Parkinsons. Gaynelle had two children, Lori (and Matt) Larson of New Carlisle, IN, and Greg Fry of Santa Cruz. Gaynelle’s brother Wayne (wife Debbie and 2 children) live in Arlington, VA. Gaynelle dearly loved her family, friends, and her life as a retired educator of 30+ years. Her days were filled with music (playing ukulele, singing in an orchestra), knitting with treasured friends, driving her VW van (dubbed “GoLo”(A name-combo of “Gaynelle” and her daughter “Lori”)) to social and music events, and traveling to be with dear friends and family in Nevada and Indiana. She will be dearly missed by many, many people. Her daughter and son look forward to celebrating her life with you 3:00 on Sun. Feb. 15 at 3:00 at Twin Lakes Church. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity.
