William H. Thomas, DDS died at age 95. He was born in Rexburg, Idaho to W. Henry Thomas and Mary Jeppson Thomas. He graduated from Ogden HS, Weber JC and attended University of Utah before joining the US Air Force, graduating OCS, and serving as a Weather Officer in WW II. After the War, he graduated from USC School of Dentistry with honors and worked as a dentist in Palos Verdes Estates, Calif. for 30 years. He retired and moved to Carson City in 1982 where he played golf with “the dawn patrol” and bridge with his wife when he was not climbing in the Sierra or hunting chukar with his son and best friend, Bill. He hit his first hole-in-one at age 89 after 70 years trying. He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Phyllis, his son William Thomas, MD, his daughter-in-law Jenice, grandson Zachary (Amber), great grandchildren Owen and Lily. He was predeceased by sisters Marianna Lee, Louise Bekker/Neel, and Jeanne Meckes. He always said that moderation was not one of his weaknesses.
