The Leisure Hour Club. The club will feature a Shakespearean evening. Included in the program is an address on William Shakespeare, a group of Shakespearean songs will be sung by a quartet composed of Miss Mabel Stewart, Mrs. Knippenbert, Dr. Burnett and Rev. J. C. Black. The selections chosen are “When Daisies Pied and Violets Blue,” “Willow Song,” and “When That I Was and a Little Tiny Boy.”

The city moved forward on a request regarding 15 acres of land near Fuji Park, slated as the future home of 148,000 Costco warehouse. The proceeds from the sale of the land is estimated to be $3.2 million and is expected to be returned to Carson City.
