Charles Allen McMillen passed away on January 6, 2015 after a brave fight with cancer. Chuck was born June 13, 1942 in Sherwood, Ohio to Charles E. and Esther M. McMillen. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 46 years, Linda, as well as his daughter Jacqueline and three sisters: Evelyn Jones, Norma Hancock and Dianna Walls. He is also survived by his sister-in-law and brother-in-law Betty June and Thomas Wienke, many nieces, nephews and friends. An avid sports fan, he had a special love for NASCAR auto racing. He was a proud member of the Antique Automobile Club of America and he spent countless hours restoring his antique car collection. Chuck desired to see as much of the world as possible and he spent his life visiting numerous countries spanning four continents. He read and enjoyed any book he could lay his hands on but was also a published author under the pen name Thad McAfee; his murder mystery trilogy is set in his Ohio hometown. During his career as a Manufacturing Engineer, he co-developed several patents before he and Linda retired to Minden in 1997.Chuck was a treasured husband, father, brother and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. A Celebration of Chuck’s Life is planned for Saturday, January 31st at 11am at Calvary Chapel: 1635 Clearview Drive, Carson City.
