Nevada Humane Society honored

The Community Foundation of Western Nevada presented Nevada Humane Society with the 2014 100 percent Giving Board Certification, which honors board members as exemplary and generous leaders in the field of philanthropy.

More than 90 organizations — which represented more than 1,100 board members and more than $2.6 million in board member giving — were recognized.

The Community Foundation of Western Nevada instituted the 100 percent Board Giving award program in 2008. The program recognizes nonprofits with boards that provide personal financial support for operating. This is the second time Nevada Humane Society has been honored.
