Struck by a rock. Dick Thomas was working on his mine on the shores of Washoe Lake when he was struck by a falling rock. One of the men heard a strange noise and went down and found Mr. Thomas laughing heartily but covered with blood. The rock had fallen on his head inflicting serious injury on the base of the skull, and rendered him crazy. At last accounts he was unconscious.
