After losing my husband, I contacted the VA to try and get the death certificate as soon as possible, but there was no way to get in touch, and I went round and round with the VA.
I contacted Sen. Dean Heller’s office, and Glenna Smith made arrangements and got in touch with the VA. It didn’t take long for me to give her all the information; she contacted the doctor’s office and the certificate was faxed to me within two or three hours.
Heller’s office was so kind and understanding; Glenna even offered to help arrange a nice military funeral in Fernley. If it wouldn’t have been for Dean Heller’s office, I would still be struggling with it.
