Wayne Tolbert of Reno, Nevada was born in Ohatchee, Alabama. He was a graduate of Alexandria High School, and earned his BA from the University of San Francisco, California in 1974. His memory will be cherished by his wife Mary of 50 years, sons James Fredrick (Kim), David Wayne, and Nathan, Edward (Christi), his loving grandchildren, and brothers James R. and Rocky. Wayne was preceded in death by parents James Robert and Lillian Virginia, and sisters Myrtice, and Jimmie Rose. Wayne’s career of 32 years included outside plant engineer and contract engineer for the phone company. He was a devoted family man, well liked by everyone, who never met a stranger. He enjoyed coaching youth sports, additional hobbies included woodworking, building houses, boating and fishing. Memorial service will be held at the Freedom Fellowship Foursquare Church on June 19, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. in Sparks, Nevada. The family invites friends to a reception immediately following the service at the church and suggests contributions to The American Foundation for the Blind in lieu of flowers.
