Carson City road report for June 29-July 5

The following information applies to the period of June 29-July 5.

Division Street will be closed between Sophia and William streets for sidewalk improvements as well as Sophia Street just west of Division Street. Work will be from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. each day and detours will be in place. The JAC bus stop on Route 2A on Division Street just south of Sophia Street will be temporarily closed.

The Nevada Department of Transportation will be constructing drainage improvements on U.S. Highway 50 West between the two truck ramps (just west of U.S. 395 to Sierra Highlands Drive). There will be lane closures Monday through Thursday, but the roadway will remain open to traffic in both directions.

The Nevada Department of Transportation will continue work on the construction of the next phase of the Carson City Freeway. On Tuesday, June 30, there will be lane closures and possible delays on E. Clearview Drive at S. Edmonds Drive. Installation of fencing along the freeway corridor from Fairview Drive down to the Carson Street/U.S. 50 W. intersection will continue, and there will be work on the shoulder of northbound S. Carson Street between Old Clear Creek Road and Snyder Avenue.

Due to utility work, there will be flaggers at the following locations:

E. Nye Lane at Riley Circle on Wednesday, July 1.

On weekdays during the day on Eighth Street between Curry and Minnesota streets.
