Beverley Dianne Hendrix, age 73, passed away Monday, March 2, 2015 at Renown Hospital in Reno. She was born on March 26th, 1941 in Oakland, CA to Clayborn “Dutch” and Olive Douglass. Her family moved to Fallon in June of 1945. Bev lived in Fallon most of her life and graduated from Churchill County High School. Bev has always had a passion for horses and started riding at a young age. She joined Junior Riders and went on to barrel racing and trick riding on her favorite horse Trigger. Later in life she took up showing horses and team roping. On November 1st, 1959 she married Robert (Bob) Hendrix. They were later sealed in the St. George, Utah LDS Temple. They settled in Fallon and purchased a small ranch south of Fallon. She has always enjoyed the outdoors, riding and the ranch life style. She also loved gardening, especially growing her roses, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Bev had many occupations starting off as a school bus driver for the school district while still attending high school, working for the hospital, Security National Bank, and NAS Fallon Credit Union. After retiring from the credit union she went to work full time helping Bob operate their insurance business, “Hendrix Insurance Agency”. Beverley is survived by her three children, Vicki Reid and R. Clay Hendrix of Fallon, and Kenneth Hendrix of Reno; 15 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Bob, her granddaughter Rachel Hendrix, her mother, father, and Brother Edwin Douglass. Funeral Service will be held Friday, March 13, 2015 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 750 West Richards, Fallon, NV with the viewing at 10:00 and service at 11:00. Interment will follow in the Fallon Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Home, Fallon.
