GNCU names Anderson executive VP of mortgage lending

Greater Nevada Mortgage named James Anderson as its new executive vice president of mortgage lending.

Anderson will lead GNM’s strategic initiatives and oversee sales, servicing, operations, and secondary marketing, as well as the relationship with parent company, Greater Nevada Credit Union.

Anderson has a background in the credit union mortgage industry. His experience includes creating the first mortgage program at KeyPoint Credit Union in Santa Clara, Calif., growing it to a $325 million operation in less than three years. At Sacramento-based Golden 1 Credit Union, the sixth largest credit union in the country, he oversaw the origination and servicing of $2 billion in real estate loans, leading a division of three managers and 70 team members.

Most recently, Anderson was the director at a full-service mortgage bank in Folsom, Calif., developing third-party brokerage arrangements with credit unions and increasing realtor relationships.

Anderson holds a BS in Business Administration with Finance Emphasis from California State University, Chico.

Langtry joins team at Greater Nevada Credit Union

Rachel Langtry has joined Greater Nevada Credit Union as VP People.

Langtry brings more than 20 years of credit union experience and will oversee the human resources, talent and training and development areas at Greater Nevada.

As VP People, Langtry will focus on helping to build, support and communicate the culture of Greater Nevada through training, team collaboration and employee engagement.

Langtry was previously the senior vice president of administration and communications at Credit Union 1 in Anchorage, Alaska. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Marketing from University of Phoenix and is a member of I3 (Ideas, Innovation, Implementation) at the Filene Research Institute, which brings together credit union leaders across North America to help solve issues within the consumer finance industry.

Langtry, who has been volunteering, fundraising, and donating for various causes and organizations since childhood, says she is looking forward to supporting Greater Nevada’s commitment to excellent member service and community involvement.

RE/MAX presents agent Lifetime Achievement Award

Mary Jo Brummer of RE/MAX Realty Affiliates was presented with the RE/ MAX Lifetime Achievement Award, which honors agents who completed more than seven years of service with the company and achieved a certain level of commissions. Less than five percent of the RE/MAX network has achieved the award.

Brummer, a realtor since 1997, has been with RE/MAX Realty Affiliates for 10 years. She was the No. 1 top-producing Carson City agent, according to the Northern Nevada Regional MLS, in 2006, 2007, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014. She was named No. 2 in October for the state of Nevada and No. 1 in November. She was also named to the Best Real Estate Agents in America list by Real Trends in 2014.

Brummer has received the following awards: RE/MAX Hall of Fame, Platinum Award, Multi-Million Dollar Producer, Circle of Distinction, RE/MAX 100% Club, International President’s Circle Award and the Above & Beyond Award.

RE/MAX Agent earns annual sales production award

Stephen Lincoln of RE/MAX Realty Affiliates was presented the RE/MAX 100% Club Award for 2014 by Vinnie Tracy, president of RE/MAX International, at the RE/MAX International Convention, which was held last week in Las Vegas.

The award honors successful agents for their significant production in the past year. Last year, less than 22 percent of all RE/MAX Affiliates earned the award. Lincoln has received awards every year since joining RE/MAX in 1992.

Lincoln has been working in the real estate industry in Carson City since 1988 and has experience in marketing executive homes. He earned the ABR, CRS ,GRI, CDPE an ePro Professional Designations.

Lincoln was president of the Sierra Nevada Association of Realtors in 2003. Her served on the board of the Chamber of Commerce, Carson City Visitors Bureau and the city Charter Review Committee.

Williams named Spherion’s staffing coordinator

Debra Williams is the new staffing coordinator at Carson City Spherion.

Williams relocated to Carson City in 2014 from Indiana, where she owned her own consulting business for nine years and also worked in the health field for almost 20 years. She has degrees in psychology and not-for-profit/profit management.

Williams will handle office administration duties at the Carson City Spherion office. She will be involved in all facets of temporary and permanent placements and will work with applicants and employees to help with the job search.

Carson store helping March of Dimes

Stage Stores, which operates department stores under five names including Bealls, launched its second annual 30 Days of Giving campaign, which invites customers to donate to March of Dimes through March.

Since launching last year, the 30 Days of Giving campaign has raised more than $1.4 million in donations for over 850 local organizations.

Bealls, at 1345 S. Carson St. in the Carson Mall, is offering every customer that donates to March of Dimes a savings coupon valid April 7-10. The coupon offers a 40 percent discount on regular, sale and clearance items.
