Nevada’s baseball team remains ranked among the nation’s 30 best despite a pair of losses last week.
The 15-4 Wolf Pack dropped just one spot from 28th to 29th in the new poll Collegiate Baseball released on Monday.
Nevada suffered its first consecutive losses last week to UC-Davis and New Mexico before rebounding to beat the Lobos Saturday and Sunday to improve to 7-2 in first place in the Mountain West Conference.
The Wolf Pack’s only other losses this season came at then fifth-ranked Texas Tech and at Stanford, where they lost 6-5 in the bottom of the ninth inning.
They play at Sacramento State on Tuesday before returning home for a four-game series against the Cincinnati Bearcats in non-conference play Wednesday through Saturday. They’re 9-1 at home this year.
