Bone shipment. A good many bones are being shipped from Virginia City to San Francisco to be used at the sugar refinery. We protest against taking bones away from Nevada whose owners when buried supposed they would rest undisturbed until the sound of Gabriel’s silver corner. Alamo Farm. Joe Josephs, superintendent of the Orphans’ Home, has a Hereford bull for sale. The animal was raised at the Orphan’s Home and sired by of the prize winners of Gov. Sparks’ celebrated herd at Alamo Farm.

Vet’s housing. A motion to put the new jail facility on the Vet’s Housing property was made by Councilman Robert Rigler.
