Rubenacker, Duxbury join The Builders Alliance
Morgan Rubenacker has joined The Builders Alliance as marketing director, a role in which she’s going to take charge of website content, social media management, public relations and event planning.
Rubenacker, from Illinois, is a Reno resident. She has a bachelor’s in marketing from Western Illinois University, and prior to joining the Builders Alliance, spent the last three years fundraising and recruiting for Boy Scouts of America.
Rubenacker is involved in the Reno Tahoe Young Professionals Network and volunteers for the Nevada Humane Society.
Pamela Duxbury also has joined the team at The Builders Alliance as outreach coordinator, a role in which she’s going to focus on construction workforce development as well as coordinating activities with local nonprofit organizations.
A Reno native with a bachelor’s in journalism from the University of Nevada, Reno, Duxbury has worked in the advertising/marketing field and is past president and founding member of the Sierra Nevada Chapter of National Charity League.
Raley’s making effort to save water & energy
Raley’s Family of Fine Stores is rolling out a new cleaning and sanitation program, whose aim is to save approximately 4 million gallons of water and lower energy consumption by 7.5 million kilowatts, saving 100 tons in shipping and reducing labor by more than 23,000 hours a year.
The project’s implementation began at the end of last year. It will be complete in all stores by the end of next month.
The Northern California based supermarket chain is the first retailer in North America to implement the entire Ecolab program, which focuses on simplifying food safety processes to ensue proper cleaning and delivering operational savings through the use of less labor, water, energy and waste.
