Carson City road report for March 23-29

The following information applies to the period of March 23-29.

Beginning Monday, March 23, through Wednesday, March 25, there will be lane closures due to utility work on Highway 50 between Humboldt Lane and Airport Road, and from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on College Parkway between Emerson Way and Goni Road.

Due to an ongoing water main project, there will be possible lane shifts from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays on Roop Street at the intersection of Washington Street. Washington Street will be closed between Roop Street and the entrance to the Carson City Library. Detours will be signed.

On Wednesday, March 25, there will be a lane closure from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Ryan Way between Arrowhead Drive and Lockheed Way.

The Carson City Landfill is upgrading the approaches to the scales at its entrance. The inbound scale will be closed. All weighing of both inbound and outbound traffic will be done on one scale. Motorists are asked to use caution when entering and can expect some delay.

There will be shoulder work at the following locations due to utility work with no delays expected:

Arrowhead Drive at Louise Drive.

Goni Road at Avery Road on Monday and Tuesday only.

The following sidewalk closures will be in place for the entire week:

The north side of Musser Street between Division and Minnesota streets.

The east side of Minnesota Street between Musser and Proctor streets.

The north side of Proctor Street between Curry and Carson streets.
