Nevada lawmakers are reviewing a bill changing the makeup of the Reno area’s tourism and marketing board of directors.
The Senate Government Affairs Committee is sponsoring SB480, which was introduced Monday night.
The bill would decrease the number of Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority board members from 13 to 12. The proposal would remove the requirement of having a member of the banking industry and replace them with a representative from a resort hotel.
It would also remove a member tasked with representing the general business sector.
Authority spokesman Ben McDonald said the board hadn’t yet taken a position on the bill.
