Bill Burleigh, age 76, died unexpectedly on April 15th while working in his yard.He was born on November 10, 1938 in Pontiac, Michigan and at the age of 15, he served in the Korean War. He moved to Gabbs and worked in surrounding mines for many years. Bill was a well known flintnapper and followed the Mountain Man circuit during the summer. Bill was a very positive person, a hard worker, a family man and a devoted husband. He never saw a rainy day and had the most positive attitude you could ever find. He will be loved forever. He is survived by his longtime companion, Nancy Shadley, daughter and son in law, Cara and Rich Reed of Hawthorne; 2 sisters in Ohio; grandchildren and great grandchildren. Bill was preceded in death by two sons, Kenny and Cougar Burleigh and by a brother, Jack Burleigh. Funeral services will be held on April 25, 2015 at 10:00 am at Smith Family Funeral Home, 505 Rio Vista Dr. in Fallon.
