Apr. 27, 1932 - May 5, 2015
Long-time Carson City resident Betty Moser passed away peacefully in her home Tuesday afternoon. She was born, raised and went to school in Glendale, California, moved to Las Vegas in 1973 then on to Carson City in 1975. She was the youngest and only daughter of five children born to Harley and Pearl Jones. She worked as a Seamstress at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas and Bobby Page Cleaners for many years and after retiring, enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and often playing Bunco, Bingo or slots for fun. She will be remembered as a feisty redhead and the matriarch of our small, close-knit family. She loved animals and adored her best friend and protector, her pet dog Muffin. In her early days in Carson City she completed ground school, took flying lessons to include soloing and was ever passionate about flying. Betty is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jody and Emory Crews, her grandsons Zack Dix and Jared Cumings, eight great-grandchildren (Danielle, Brittany, Audrey, Micheala, Liam, Xander, Mason and Khloe), one great great-grandchild (Paisley), nieces Brenda (Dan) Nardoni, Linda Jones, Wendy Jones, Cindy (Louis) Gonzalez, Lisa Tripana and nephew Jack (Tamara) Jones. She is preceded in death by her parents, her four older brothers Raymond (Marilyn), George (Norma), Robert (Jan) and Jack (Louise), niece Pam Jones, nephew Stephen Jones and best buddies, Dee Mays and Arnele Van Dask. A celebration of life will be held for family and close friends at a later date. We are forever broken and beside ourselves to be without your guidance, wisdom, patience and love. You will always be missed, never forgotten and eternally loved. You were priceless to us!
