Circus day in Reno. Two homes were burglarized while families were attending the circus. At the home of V. B. Apperson ... a gold watch chain and nickel watch were taken. At the home of Alexander Dromiack, a $7 gold neck chain and a 22-calibre revolver. (Journal)

The Nugget Casinos has saved the company thousands of dollars in energy bills as a new system was finished in June 1998. “Our customers suggested to us, ‘What are you going to do about second-hand smoke?” With the new system air quality levels can be checked. If the air filters are working properly, it filters out second-hand smoke.
