Lilian C. Gandolfo, age 96, passed away on May 2, 2015 in Carson City, Nevada. She was born July 23, 1918 in El Cajon, CA to David L and Blanche Dolbeare Akers and was an Austin resident for 80 years, coming from Ukiah, CA. Lilian had worked as a store manager in retail sales and also as a reporter for the Tonopah Times. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge and was, along with her husband Bert, very active in the Austin Community. Lilian was preceded in death by her husband, Bert Tell Gandolfo; her son, Theodore, and her 5 brothers and sisters, Ruth, Lawrence, Richard, Donald and Mae. She is survived by her daughter, Roberta Bauer (Bill) of Carson City; grandchildren, Annalise Bauer of Las Vegas, Renee Bauer of Carson City, Kaitlin Bauer of Sparks, Ted Gandolfo, Kim Lucas, Tana Pierce, Robin York and Leslie Fischer, all of Battle Mountain; numerous great and great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 1:00 pm at the Austin Community Center with viewing at Noon. Interment will follow in the Austin Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Home in Fallon. 423-2255.
