Robert Allen Berg, 66, of Carson City NV, passed away May 1st, 2015. Preceeded in death by his beloved wife, Cyndee. Bobby grew up in Minneapolis and graduated from Washburn High School class of 1966. He enlisted in the Navy and served our country from 1966-1970. He was stationed in Da Nang during the Viet Nam war. After returning home from the service, he worked for Hennepin County Animal Control and then moved to San Francisco to work for Qantas Airlines. From there, Bobby worked as a cook at various casinos in the Lake Tahoe/Reno area, where he met Cyndee. Most recently, until he retired, he worked at The Casino Fandango in Carson City, NV. Bobby will be remembered for his smile, his kindness and his generosity. He loved animals and was never without a dog as a companion. Bobby is survived by his parents, Orville and Marcella Berg, his son Kenneth Michael Berg (Stephanie), and his granddaughter, Brielle; and his stepson Daniel Hoffman. He is also survived by his brother Mike Berg (Soo), and sisters Linda Mickelson, Connie Polaski (Bob), Karen Berg (Dan Shannon), nieces, nephews, and cousins, especially his cousin, Patty Sherburne, as well as his good friends, Bernie and Vince. The family would like to thank Cesar Verde for his friendship and support of Bobby these last several years. There will be a graveside service at the Northern Nevada Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Fernley, NV, Friday, June 12 at 11:00 am. Memorials may be sent to the Nevada SPCA.
