Locke and Betty Ray Lesch are longtime supporters of their community and Carson Tahoe Health. Upon learning the front entrance of the hospital was in critical need of renovation, including a costly new door system to improve patient access and resist weather elements, they donated $100,000 toward the project.

With the remodel coming to fruition, Carson Tahoe Health Foundation launched a buy-a-brick campaign, offering the opportunity for employees and community members to permanently etch a personal message on their own brick on the ‘Pathway of Hope’ at the entrance.

“The generosity of philanthropists, such as the Lesch’s, makes a lifesaving impact on our ability to deliver the most healing and advanced healthcare here in Northern Nevada. And thanks to this remodel, we are able to offer everyone in our community the chance to leave a lasting legacy,” says Kitty McKay, Director of Foundation Development at the Carson Tahoe Health Foundation.

Each brick can be personalized in memory, recognition or family celebration and a variety of sizes are available, starting at the $250 level, bricks can be reserved at any time throughout the year, and are “planted” each December. Brick contributions are tax deductible.

The brick campaign supports hope and healing for patients, family members, and employees of Carson Tahoe Health, while contributing to the charitable work of the Carson Tahoe Health Foundation.
