A holiday bazaar and sidewalk breakfast are scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 14, at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Carson City.
The bazaar begins in the church on the southwest corner of Division and Telegraph streets downtown with sidewalk breakfast offerings available even as people line up to get into the historic church, where they can browse and purchase items in the parish hall, library or sanctuary. The bazaar is slated to last until 3:30 p.m.
“This year’s bazaar features crafters who won a total of 19 ribbons at the 2015 Nevada State Fair,” said parishioner Karen L. Kish in a pre-bazaar release.
“One of those crafters has created this year’s queen-sized quilt, ‘Home Is Where the Heart Is,’” said Kish, calling it a traditional English Ivy block pattern in warm tones of red, white and blue. She said raffle tickets for it will be available at the bazaar. Items on sale will include home made treats such as jams, jellies, cookies, cakes, candies and various hand-crafted items. Among them: note cards, apparel, accessories and decor or items for homes. A large selection of jewelry and special lavender products also will be on hand.
For those interested in the breakfast, meanwhile, New Orleans beignets and southern gumbo will be accompanied by beverage choices.
