Pioneer High School’s Health Science Career and Technical Education program introduces hands-on skills applicable to healthcare disciplines. Students learn problem solving while integrating core academic subjects and employability skills. This year, Pioneer is debuting a second year health science course, Health Information Management I, which features applications of an industry standard electronic health record software. The school is the first in the state to offer the course.
Students who complete the courses can continue Career and Technical Education program options while gaining access to entry-level medical office employment.
