Geraldine “Geri” Washer

Geri passed away to be with the Good Lord on October 15, 2015. She was born June, 7, 1930 to Virgil and Flora Parsons in Malta Bend, Missouri. She lived with her husband of 64 years, Bert, in Fallon, Nevada. Geri graduated from Churchill County High School and then went on to Beauty College in Reno. She worked in that profession until meeting Bert, who was stationed at NAS Fallon. While two of his friends were hand pushing his 1936 Ford to start it, Geri gave him a push with her car, and she said ,”I’ve been pushing him ever since.” They were married September 9, 1951 in St. John’s Lutheran Church. Geri always wanted, but never had from the time she was a kid, a golden Palomino with a cream mane and tail. Now with the help of the Good Lord, she is with her palomino, riding off into the sunset. Preceded in death by her parents; brother, Clifford Parsons. Geri is survived by her husband of 64 years, Bert; brother, Bob Parsons; sister, Marcelle Moore and her children, Rick Washer and Sharon Rand; 2 grandchildren, Steven Rand and Nichole Durst; 6 great-grandchildren; Kaison; Jadacie; Jaxsyn; Camrynn; Landon and Aubree.
