Carson City road report for Nov. 16-22

The following information applies to the period of Nov. 16-22.

Division Street will be closed due to road construction between Fifth and King streets weekdays. Detours will be signed.

Utility work will continue from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the following locations, with possible flagger controlled traffic:

Division Street between Fleischmann Way and Long Street will be closed weekdays

Mountain Street between Fleischmann Way and Long Street will be closed Tuesday through Friday; business access will be available from Washington Street

Fleischmann Way between Mountain and Division streets will be closed Monday through Wednesday; business access will be available from Division Street

Intersection of Mountain Street and Fleischmann Way will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday

Long Street between Mountain and Division streets will be closed Monday through Thursday

Sierra Circle, Hillside Way, Miller Way, Pine View Way, and Lane Circle will be closed Monday through Thursday

The following impacts are expected as a result of the East/West Water Transmission Project.

Washington Street will be closed to traffic between Stewart and Walsh streets weekdays

Washington Street will be closed to through traffic between Walsh and Roop streets weekdays; library traffic will be allowed via flagged traffic

Lane closures in each direction on Stewart Street at Washington Street weekdays; two-way traffic will be maintained

The Clearview Drive bridge, west of Edmunds Drive, is under repair. There will be lane closures, but two-way traffic will be maintained. Repair work begins Monday and continues through Friday.

College Parkway between Cinnabar Avenue and Imperial Way will have construction work from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday through Friday. There will be lane closures, but two-way traffic will be maintained.

On Carson Street at Hot Springs Road, the northbound left turn lane will be closed from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Cochise Street between Overland Street and Roventini Way, including the intersections, will be closed Friday and possibly the weekend. The intersection of Cochise Street and Roventini Way will be closed weekdays and possibly the weekend. Detours will be signed.

Race Track Road will be closed to through traffic between Bigelow and Schulz drives for the week.

There will be utility work on the shoulder of Snyder Avenue between Oak Street and Bigelow Drive from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

There will be work at the intersection of Appion Way and Hillview Drive from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday; delays will be minor.

Oregon Street between Roop Street and Wright Way, including the intersection of Roop and Wright streets, will have lane closures and work in the intersection; through traffic will be maintained.

Construction of the Carson City Freeway continues. Drivers are asked to use caution in the areas around the construction site, particularly along S. Carson Street.
