Interfaith Thanksgiving planned

Interfaith community members will come together to give thanks for Earth and the natural world at an interfaith Thanksgiving gathering from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church.

Representatives from various faith traditions, including Temple Bat Yam, St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Community, Dharma Zephyr Insight Meditation Community, and First United Methodist Church, will lead the celebration.

Refreshments will be served at the conclusion of the celebration. All are welcome to attend. For more information, contact Dixie Jennings-Teats at 775-882-1436.

St. Gall presenting Advent Narratives Nov. 24

St. Gall Catholic Community is bringing the scriptures to life with music, lighting, and costuming on Nov. 24, when Michael Reardon and Patrick Lane present The Advent Narratives.
