Carson City road report for Nov. 30 to Dec. 9

The following applies to the period of Nov. 30 – Dec. 9.

NDOT will continue work on the construction of an auxiliary lane on southbound I-580 from the Eastlake Boulevard interchange to the N. Carson Street off-ramp. There will be lane closures from 7 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. beginning today, through Friday, Dec. 4. In addition, the Eastlake/Hobart southbound on-ramp will be closed during these times and detours will be signed.

On Monday, Nov. 30, and Tuesday, Dec. 1, there will be temporary traffic control at the southeast corner of Division and Second streets. Two-way traffic will be maintained.

Utility work will continue from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. weekdays at the following locations, with possible flagger controlled traffic:

Mountain Street between Fleischmann Way and Long Street; business access is available from Washington Street

Division Street between Fleischmann Way and Long Street

Fleischmann Way between Mountain and Division streets

Long Street between Mountain and Division streets

Sierra Circle, Hillside Way, Miller Way, Pine View Way, and Lane Circle

Washington Street will be closed to traffic between Stewart and Walsh streets weekdays as a result of the East/West Water Transmission Project.

On Tuesday, Dec. 8, and Wednesday, Dec. 9, Hillview Drive will be closed to through traffic from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Clearview Drive intersection to approximately 100 yards to the south.

Race Track Road will be closed to through traffic between Bigelow and Schulz drives for the week.

There will be utility work from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays on the north shoulder of Snyder Avenue between Oak Street and Bigelow Drive.

There will be work on Cochise Street between Roventini Way and Overland Street from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Two-way traffic will be maintained.

The following road closures will occur from 6 to 11 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, unless otherwise noted, due to an event:

Telegraph Street between Carson and Curry streets from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 4

Curry Street between Musser and Robinson streets

Plaza Street between Musser Street and the Nugget

Telegraph Street between Curry and Plaza streets

Proctor Street between Curry and Plaza streets

Carson Street will remain open, but access to Telegraph and Proctor streets will be prohibited. Drivers are advised to use caution.
