Community flu vaccination events are under way in Douglas County and Carson City through Nov. 10, according to area health officials.
The first were Saturday at East Fork Fire Station #6 in Minden and at Tahoe Douglas Fire Station #23 in Zephyr Cove, and the last event listed in a news release will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 10, from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m., at the Carson Mall in Carson City, according to the release from Carson City Health and Human Services (HHS), and the Public Health Regional Partnership.
Other scheduled events: Monday, Oct. 19 from 8 a.m. until noon, at Kahle Community Center on Kingsbury Grade at Stateline; Tuesday, Oct. 20, from 3:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m., at East Fork Fire Station #12 at 3620 Sunridge Dr.; Thursday, Oct. 22, from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., at East Fork Fire Station #7 at 940 Mitch Dr. Gardnerville Ranchos; and Thursday, Nov. 5, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., at Carson City Fire Station #52, 2600 College Parkway.
An HHS/partnership news release said Medicaid, Medicare and most private insurance carriers can be billed, or the charge is $20 without insurance. More information is available at http://gethealthycarsoncity.org/immunizations or by telephoning (775) 283-7905.
