Clothing stolen. We learn that on Sunday night the farm house of Mr. John Bath was entered by robbers and despoiled of a lot of clothing. Mr. Bath, as most of our readers know, lives out beyond Never’s northwest of town about a mile and a half or two. This robbery took place as Mr. Bath, his family, and hired men were all at home. Guess that the thief scraped acquaintance with the dogs through the seduction introduction of a piece of butcher’s meat.

About once every two years a clique of demented politicians in Carson rope in some poor, ambitious tool to start a new paper in this city, for the purpose of “freezing out” the Appeal. They play upon the vanity of some carefully selected dupe, and induce him to believe that he is specially fitted to edit the new paper, which is to cause the Appeal office to be sold under the sheriff’s hammer inside of a year (continued on Wednesday).

Tomorrow night at the Grand will present Philip Bartholomae’s successful comedy, Vivian Martin in “Little Miss Brown,” which has been converted into a photoplay.

Lt. Lester R. Springmeyer, whose wife and small daughter live in Carson City, has been awarded the bronze star medal for meritorious service in keeping ordinance in repair during the height of the campaign in Belgium and Germany.

A new site has been applied for Carson College, Prof. Hobert Sturm, dean, revealed today. The location is on Highway 395 across from the Jacks Valley junction, three miles south of Carson.
