(Perasich brothers; continued from Thursday). Alert and peering into the hotel, and one of them had his hand on his pistol. Aschim was thereupon hurried out the back way. Meantime the Perasich brothers had taken a position on the road beyond the town, one on the old road and one on the new road. On the arrival of the stage near Gardner’s on the lower road, E. Perasich sprang out from his place of concealment and demanded that the stage stop. Two shots were fired the horses became frightened and ran (continued on Saturday).

When we look back upon the money, time and (and in times gone by) brains that have been wasted in a futile effort to topple the Appeal into oblivion, we are overcome more by a feeling of sadness than anger, that so much could be tried and so little accomplished. These men might have, perhaps, made shining successes in other fields (continued Saturday).

Hy Downs, in charge of affairs at Lakeview and the tunnel, was a visitor in the city today, shaking hands with many friends.

Harmon Walker of the Carson Flying School was guest speaker at a meeting of the Rotary Club. He stated in his address that the hangar at the local field was rated as one of the best in the state and if the landing strip was paved, it would be a field that Carson City would be proud.

On the weekend of Oct. 30-31, thousands of Nevadans and tourists will turn back the clock 101 years to celebrate Nevada’s admission day in Carson City. Over 100 entries are expected for the parade.
