A Storey County commissioner who also heads the Tahoe-Reno Industrial Center (TRIC) is going to speak at a Wednesday morning business breakfast in Carson City.
L. Lance Gilman, the commissioner and CEO of TRIC, speaks in the Gold Dust West on U.S. Highway 50 East at the breakfast meeting of Nevada Business Connections (NBC), according to Kris Holt, NBC executive director. Doors open at 7:30 a.m. Breakfast and the program featuring Gilman are at 8 a.m. Cost is $25 for NBC members, $35 for others.
In announcing the event, the development-oriented business networking organization called Gilman “a master impact player for northern Nevada, a true job creator since 1988.” It also said TRIC now has 170 companies there, including 50 manufacturers, naming such high profile players there as Tesla Motors’ gigafactory and Switch data processing center.
Holt, according to the announcement, will also talk about business expansions and relocations during recent months. NBC meets every other month in Carson City, alternating with breakfast every other month in Reno. The Nov. 18 meeting is at the Great Basin Brewery in Reno and Jane Blake of American Petroleum Institute is the anticipated speaker then.
