Charles John Morrow passed away peacefully of natural causes on Tuesday, October 13, 2015. harles was born March 26, 1928 in Pearl City, Illinois to Raymond Dale Morrow and Elizabeth Fugate. He spent his youth in Illinois and at age 10, moved to Canoga Park, California where he graduated from Canoga Park High School in 1947. Charlie, as most people called him, was a football player in high school and after graduating joined the Seabees. He learned the construction trade and went on to become a contractor, building several homes in Southern California and Northern Nevada. Charlie met his wife of 56 years, Barbara Tieben, in Chatsworth, California. In 1961 Charlie and Barbara moved to Carson City, Nevada where Charlie ran his business, Action-Hydro Crane Service in addition to building speculation homes. In 1969, Charlie moved his family to a 40 acre parcel of alfalfa in Dayton, Nevada. Together, Charlie and Barbara built a small farm where their children were able to grow-up in a close-knit, loving community. Charlie was also a member of the Nevada Air National Guard, serving in the Civil Engineering Squadron until 1988. Charles is survived by his wife, Barbara, brother John of Lima, Ohio, his children, Elizabeth A. Watson (Andrew) of Reno, NV, John H. Morrow (Karen) of Fallon, NV, Charles A. Morrow (Amber) of Fallon, NV, Barbara C. Morrow of Sparks, NV, Grandchildren, John C. Shorrock of San Francisco, CA, Amanda N. Morrow of Reno, NV, Angela Morrow of Carson City, NV, Patrick N. Morrow of Fallon, NV and Edward C. Morrow of Fallon, NV, Niece, Susan C. Laxalt, Sparks, NV and Nephew, Charles J. Laxalt, Reno, NV. Charles will be laid to rest near his dear mother, Elizabeth Lang in Chatsworth, CA.
