Donald Myers Trimble passed away at home on Wednesday, September 30, 2015. Donald was born January 17, 1939 in Reno, Nevada. He resided in Carson City for most of his adult life. Donald graduated from Reno High School and attended the University of Nevada for a short time before entering the U.S. Air Force where he became proficient in the Chinese language as part of his Air Force assignment. Upon leaving the Air Force he worked for the Nevada State Highway Department and Employment Security Department until his retirement.Donald was a former member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary and the Carson City Sheriff’s Squadron. Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Robin and Dortha Trimble. He is survived by his wife of 48 years (Lada), brother (Robert), step-son (George McCutchen), step-daughter (Evelina Hohl), 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. A graveside memorial service will be held on Friday, October 16 at 11am in the Veterans’ Section of the Lone Mountain Cemetery in Carson City.
