Carson City health inspections

Carson City Health Department’s food-service inspections for Oct. 6. All scores are on a 100-point scale, with points deducted depending on the severity of violations:

Carson High School, sports field concession stand, 1111 S. Saliman Road, scored 100 points.

Las Marias Mexican Restaurant, 1939 N. Carson St., 100 points.

Super Burrito, 1250 S. Carson St., 100 points.

Burger King, 3589 N. Carson St., 98 points. Hot-holding plastic containers were not clean.

Jack in the Box, 3225 Retail Drive, 97 points. Biofilm buildup was found in several corners of the ice dispenser chute area and along the plastic shield at the left of the unit. Grease and food was found inside cabinets and under fryers, creating a fire hazard. The outdoor grease receptacle and surrounding ground area were dirty. The floor sink under the three-compartment sink was dirty, along with the floor sink under the preparation sink on the opposite wall of the rear kitchen.

Lake Tahoe Brewing, Co., pizza, 302 N. Carson St., 97 points. There was no certified food handler on duty.

Lake Tahoe Brewing, Co., bar, 302 N. Carson St., 96 points. The large garage door was open.

Lake Tahoe Brewing, Co., restaurant, 302 N. Carson St., 95 points. There was no thermometer inside the make-up reach-in. The can opener blade was dirty. Dish racks were stored on the floor. The perimeter of the kitchen floors were dirty.

Lily’s China Bistro, 1280 S. Carson St., 94 points. One reach-in was missing a thermometer, and another unit held an inaccurate thermometer. Food was stored in open cans in the reach-in by the grill, corrected on site. The magnetic knife rack and the knives stored on it were dirty. There was dust buildup on fan guards. The wall opposite of the grills needed to be cleaned. A shelf was not cleanable or waterproof around the edges.

The Lady Tamales, 933 E. Woodside Drive, 93 points. A TV remote and a cell phone were found in clean bowls, corrected on site. Dirty dishes were stored in the mop sink; the mop was stored on the floor, corrected on site. The screen door and the back door were propped open, corrected on site.
