Students at Eagle Valley Middle School got a treat Tuesday when school administrators dressed up to celebrate the end of their annual fundraiser.
Principal Lee Conley and Vice Principal Dr. Sue Moulden dressed up as Star Wars characters to announce the winners of the annual PTO cookie dough fundraiser. Conley went as “Princess Leia” and Moulden went as “Yoda.”
“The kids voted on what Star Wars character they wanted, and they always vote for me to dress as the woman,” Conley said.
The kids have been selling cases of cookie dough for two weeks to raise money for the school. Conley said the goal is to buy 10 picnic tables for the playground.
At lunch, Conley and Moulden showed off their costumes to announce the students who raised the most money. Anika Soulier, a seventh-grader, sold 59 boxes and raised $1,000; Jeremy Parman, a sixth-grader sold 57 boxes and raised $884; and April Tedrowe, an eighth-grader sold 35 boxes and raised $528.
