Where’s lawsuit against teaching of religion of evolution in schools
The headline “ACLU sues to block school vouchers program” on Aug. 28 reveals the blatant hypocrisy of the ACLU and the Americans United for Separation of Church and State. They are suing to block Nevada’s Education Savings Accounts program because they are worried that some taxpayer money might go to a religious school. If they were not so hypocritical, they would also sue the boards of education that allow the religion of evolution to be taught in our public schools.
Even some evolution scientists have said evolution is a religion. Let me quote a couple.
Michael Ruse, eminent scientific philosopher and Darwinian atheist said, “Evolution is promoted by its practitioners as more than mere science. Evolution is promulgated as an ideology, a secular religion — a full-fledged alternative to Christianity, with meaning and morality ... Evolution is a religion. This was true of evolution in the beginning, and it is true of evolution still today.”
Another scientist, Richard Lewontin, said, “We take the side of science in spite of the patent absurdity of some of its constructs ... we are forced by our a priori adherence to material causes to create an apparatus of investigation and set of concepts that produce material explanations, no matter how counter intuitive, no matter how mystifying to the uninitiated. Moreover, that materialism is absolute, for we cannot allow a Divine Foot in the door.”
So, where is the lawsuit against the teaching of the religion of evolution in our schools?
