Keep Carson City’s history intact

After reading the historical biography of Carson City that was written by Ronni Hannaman in the Aug. 30 Appeal, I felt such a sadness that so many of the architectural landmarks were torn down, all in the name of “progress.”

There is enough land surrounding Carson City to build new buildings, but, please, let’s leave the historical character of our city as it is. Ripping out those beautiful wrought iron fences along downtown Carson Street was the last straw for me and hopefully the last act of destruction.

Keep Carson City historically intact and beautiful!
