Beware of men who cast long shadows

When it comes to presidential candidates, the obvious choice may turn out to be less than choice.

As Emily Dickinson observes, small men can cast long shadows on the lawn

Indicative that suns go down

The notice to the started grass

That darkness is about to pass.

City officials need to straighten out

To Carson City officials,

What is up with our city officials? They have asked us to reduce water use to help save our water supply. We let our lawn in our backyard die to do our part in helping conserve water. Then they turn around and approve the Lompa Ranch housing development.

It doesn’t make sense. They turn around and add a lot more usage to our water supply. Next we will see an increase in our water bill and sewer usage. Will they ever get things straightened out?
