John Louis Southfield

John Louis Southfield passed away at Renown Hospital on March 19, 2016. John was born in New York to Ed and Anna Southfield on February 15, 1924. The family moved west to California where John was in the dairy and hay business. Later in life, John moved to the Fallon area where he ran his ranch and cattle businesses. John lived a simple life and loved his family very much. John was preceded in death by his son John Loren and is survived by his sons Gordon (Jean), Dennis (Linda), and Tim (Shelley); daughters Judy (Rick), and Kim (Bryan); his sister Margie; sisters-in-law Jackie and Carol; and his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at the Fallon Cemetery on Friday, March 25, at 11:00 a.m., with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations in John’s name be made to one’s favorite charity.
