Garden sass. We were yesterday’s presented with a fine large limb, from a rhubarb (pie plant) growth that was raised in John Fox’s garden. It is a handsome a specimen of that production as we ever saw, anywhere.

130 years ago

The stem laundry continues to receive an avalanche of work. People of Glenbrook, Dayton and Empire are sending word constantly to know if it can handle their washing. The Reno laundry is not yet finished and it is proposed to do all the washing for Reno at the regular rates with the Carson Laundry Association to pay the freight both ways.

Government troops, hastily transported from England, have been rushed to Dublin and now occupy St. Stephens and Liberty Hall, in the heart of Dublin. Marshal law has been declared in Dublin County.

Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Pochop, who have been honeymooning in California, are expected to arrive home Friday.

The Nevada State Board of Health has unanimously supported fluoridation of Reno-Sparks water as amen as of preventing tooth decay.
