The appearance of strange lights in the planet Mars leads the scientists to conclude that the inhabitants of the planet are trying to communicate with us. If anybody in Mars has anything to say on leading topics, a good way to do so would be to address a communication to the Morning Appeal and tell the people of this planet exactly what they want.

The large heavy steel filing cases in the office of the state superintendent of public instruction in the Capitol building, without any warning whatever, toppled over this morning, scattering records and damaging the desks, chairs and typewriters. Miss Bray was in the office at the time. Professor Bray was downstairs.
