Dominguez attends medical congress
Mallarie Dominguez of Carson City participated in the Congress of Future Medical Leaders held June 25-27 in Lowell, Mass.
The honors-only program is for high school students from across the country who are aspiring to become physicians or enter medical research fields. Participants must have at least a 3.5 grade-point average to attend.
The purpose of the Congress is to honor the students and to motivate and help them plan to reach their goals. Students heard from Nobel Laureates and top medical school deans and witnessed a live surgery.
