Barbara Lee (Boleware) Varin, born on the Ides of March, 1927, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2016, just seventy five days before her 90th birthday.
She was born to Fred S. Boleware and Nellie (Dean) Boleware, in Crystal Springs, Mississippi. Barbara married the love of her life, Harold Varin on April 3, 1945 and lived happily in Custer, South Dakota after World War II ended.
There they raised four children, Robert, Gerald, Susan and Donna.
In January of 1960, the family moved to Tempe, Arizona to enjoy the warmth and sun of the Southwest. In 2003, Barbara and Harold moved to Carson City, Nevada to be close to family.
Barbara loved life and fondly remembers her early years playing with brothers, sisters and cousins in Mississippi, she added to her love of family and friends in South Dakota, Arizona and Nevada, keeping family close for her entire life. A seven decade bridge enthusiast, she also loved playing golf, traveling and meeting family and friends wherever they went.
Barbara is predeceased by her father and mother, her brothers, Fred Jr. and Billy, and sister Dorothy. She is also, predeceased by her son Robert, and husband Harold.
Barbara is survived by her sister Francis and four generations of over 80 immediate family members and an abundance of family and friends gathered over 8 decades of a life well lived.
She was loved and will be missed by all.
