Sept. 12, 1992 ~ Nov. 21, 2016
Shayni Alyssa Johnson, born September 12, 1992, passed away in her home on November 21, 2016 after a long and very hard fought battle with Bipolar 1 Disorder.
Shayni was an avid reader and an incredible writer. Throughout her life she produced notebook after notebook of her writings about her daily adventures and struggles. She was a beautiful soul who cared deeply for people and animals. Shayni started college as an English major and changed to nursing after an experience that made her decide she enjoyed helping other people. Shayni was working on her nursing degree at Western Nevada College and was a CNA at Renown Hospital. She enjoyed her job and was very excited to be learning and helping patients in every way possible. Shayni showed us all what it is to be a beautiful human being; she was my beautiful human.
Shayni has gone on to be with her late father, R. Eric Johnson.
She is survived by her mother, Sharlene Evenson, her stepfather, Bryan Evenson, and her stepbrother, Alexander Harvey. She is also survived by loving grandparents, aunts and uncles, who will miss her until we meet again. Shayni leaves behind her loving fiancé, Austin Barnett.
A private service was held on Friday, November 25th for close family only; however, I encourage family and friends who could not attend to continue to remember and celebrate her life.
