Born in Crowley, LA to Joseph and Lucy Simar. Gennie passed away at her home in Fallon, NV.
She is preceded in death by her two husbands, six siblings and step-son Donald Hasty.
Genevieve is survived by daughter Lora Broadbent (Arden) of Utah, John Shane (Maxine) of Arizona, Lucy Rickman (Rich) of Fallon, Sybil Thayer (Mike) of Arizona, Vestal Hasty (Debbie) of Colorado, seven grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces & nephews.
Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Home, Friday, December 16, 2016 at 1:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Fallon Senior Center or CAPS of Fallon.
