Do it, ladies, by all means, but try and arrange matters so that it won’t come off too soon before or too soon after the Grand Military Ball. By all means, let us have the Fancy Dress Ball.

Sutro, continued from Wednesday. The men who fought Sutro stopped at nothing to win. A man went on the stand, and under oath attempted to make the Congressional Committee believe that the Ophir Mine had been as dry as a powder horn for years. Sutro, at an expense of several thousand dollars, had the weekly letters of the Ophir Mine telegraphed to Washington.

The Boy’s and Girl’s Club movement is becoming one of the greatest educational assets of the country. It has swept from coast to coast, north and south, and resulted in untold benefit to the country at large.

Nevada’s postwar National Guard will take to the air if Sen. Pat. McCarran’s efforts bear fruit. “I have made formal request to the Department of War for the establishment of at least one National Guard Air Force squadron in Nevada,” said McCarran.

Trash has become a growing problem in Carson City. Residents, unable to pay for trash collection, are letting bags grow into mountains, forcing the health department to look into halting indiscriminate dumping of trash in vacant property.
