Senior Autumn Cuellar, 18, was named the Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Nevada 2015 Youth of the Year at the Annual Members Awards Night on Thursday. Cuellar, also the 2014 Youth of the Year, competed for the coveted title along with freshman Mackenzie Malone, 15, and freshman Natalie Ontiveros, 15. The students had to submit a 20-page application, as well as deliver speeches to judges during an event on Jan. 8. Cuellar will now move on to the next step in the national Boys & Girls Clubs of America Youth of the Year competition in Las Vegas later this month. State winners advance to the regional completion and finally on to the national competition held at the White House.
