Thanks for finding missing pet

To the guy on the red quad that found my cocker spaniel after she wandered off Friday above Brunswick Canyon, there’s a special place in heaven for you. Thank you.

Love story

She was from New York. He was from California. She became a Marine after changing her age on her birth certificate so she could serve.

He became a Marine after he already served in the Navy. They met briefly on the beach in North Carolina while wearing matching Marine-issued bathing suits.

Within weeks, Arlene and Henry were married. Henry left and fought at Midway and China while Arlene served by repairing rifles stateside. They lived by the Marine motto, Semper Fidelis, always faithful, forever.
