Ted Cruz is eligible for presidency

U.S. Senator Ted Cruz is eligible to serve as president, although Karri Meares wrote on Feb. 11 he could not due to his “birth in Canada.”

As a former attorney and after studying the law since 1973, I wanted to know what the law is. It became clear Ted Cruz is very intelligent! He graduated as valedictorian from high school; Princeton with cum laude; Harvard Law School, magna cum laude.

I reviewed several legal articles on the issue, including one from the New York Times and another from Forbes. The vast majority of legal scholars all agree Ted Cruz is eligible to serve as U.S. President pursuant to the U.S. Constitution, since his mother was a United States citizen when she gave birth in Canada. When Trump threatened to sue him on the issue during a debate, Cruz simply smiled. He knows the U.S. Constitution and the law.

Rubio is best GOP candidate

Sen. Marco Rubio has the most relevant experience in the entire GOP field to be president.

As a member of both the Senate Foreign Relations and Intelligence Committees, Rubio is the candidate most knowledgeable and best equipped to deal with national security and defense issues, including the rising threat of ISIS and domestic terrorism. He also knows national domestic policy, taking a leadership role on immigration and opposing Obamacare.

In endorsing Marco Rubio for president, the editorially conservative Las Vegas Review-Journal noted Rubio’s deep personal connections with Nevada. He lived in the Las Vegas Valley from age 8 to 14, the son of immigrants employed by the hotel industry. In addition to events in Las Vegas, Reno and Carson, Rubio has demonstrated his respect for rural Nevada by campaigning in Fallon and Yerington, and winning endorsement by Elko County Commission Chair Demar Dahl.

Rubio is a limited government conservative, the candidate most able to unite Republicans, win in Nevada, and defeat Hillary Clinton in November.
